Basic Requirement

LIC Agent Job Role

LIC agency is a profession where the basic responsibility of an agent is to meet new people and explain the planned product of LIC to meet their future requirement according to their needs, selling and giving them after-sales services.


To become a LIC agent, you have to go to the nearest LIC branch of your city and meet the Development Officer, who is appointed for the recruitment and training of new agents.

Here you have to submit 4 color passport size photos, Aadhar card, PAN card, 10th, 12th, graduation mark sheet, registration fee along with IRDA license exam fee i.e.₹ 650 - 1000.

After registration, you get the option of online or offline training. This training is for at least 4 to 5 days.

After training, you have to give the license of IRDA by going to the exam NSEIT center. This exam is of 50 marks, in which the minimum 17 marks is considered a pass. The paper is yours online.

After Passing Exam:

After passing the examination, the candidate should start with the new insurance of his special friend and relative as soon as possible.

A new agent should keep in touch with their development officer at the most. To avoid difficulties in the field, an office visit should be done at least three to four days a week.
